Our freshwater bioassessment program has expanded during the past five years to meet the needs of our clients who manage NPDES stormwater and point source discharge permits. During that time our team has performed the bioassessment monitoring for three of the largest watershed protection agencies in southern California as well numerous point source discharge agencies. We are involved in the continuing development of the protocols used in these programs at the State and local levels as members of the Technical Advisory Committee for the Southern California Stormwater Monitoring Consortium and participation on the Southwest Association of Freshwater Invertebrate Taxonomists (SAFIT) Board of Directors, the group tasked with the standardization of the naming conventions for freshwater taxa in the southern California Region. |
