Ocean Monitoring

During the past 26 years, Aquatic Bioassay Scientists have completed marine surveys for many southern and central California industries and municipalities. We have been active participants in each of the Southern California Bight Regional Monitoring programs since 1994, currently conduct receiving water studies from San Luis Obispo to San Diego and are responsible for one of the largest ongoing NPDES municipal monitoring programs in southern California. Our field and laboratory capabilities include sampling and analysis for icthyoplankton, water quality, current meter studies, sediment chemistry, infauna, tissue bioaccumulation, trawled organisms, particle size and bacteria. Our marine monitoring capabilities are in compliance with the field and laboratory protocols developed for the Southern California Bight Regional Monitoring Program.
